I'd never felt such community and camaraderie from a group of strangers who'd just met to spend a weekend in the mountains together! The friendly human environment paired with the stunning natural environment exemplified the reason I love getting outdoors. I'm less of a "race person" and more of a "fun run person." Aspire's trips remove the ego and pressure that other running environments have, and instead embrace the freedom, community and learning that I crave in the sport.

The freedom of the hills is calling!
Here's how Aspire unlocks fast & light alpine travel:
Accommodations: Our first night will be staged out of the Silver Fir Campground. Aspire will provide a group shelter, heaters, a phone/watch/camera charging station, a portable hot shower, and lively camp amenities for a remote but comfortable “glamp” style experience.
Our backcountry camp will be a minimalist affair. Perched high on Mt. Baker, we'll be hanging out in bivy sacs or in ultralight shelters with just the essential overnight gear.
Guide Team: The Aspire team is comprised of welcoming expert guides that provide instruction on safe and efficient alpine travel, a safety net, energizing camaraderie, area information, logistical support, and meals.
Meals: The Aspire team will provide nourishing meal in camp bookending the trip, as well as backpacking meals for our backcountry camp.
Skills Courses: The Mt Baker Summit Climb and Snow Skills is a skills course covering fastpacking, off-trail navigation and glacier travel. Participants will receive instruction on what to pack for an overnight running adventure, principles for ultra-light alpine travel, and snow/glacier travel skills all wrapped up in a 2 day point to point traverse and summit climb of Mt Baker.
Prerequisites: Experience wearing crampons and traveling on a rope team crossing snow and ice is a prerequisite for this trip.
